Friends of Edith Borthwick

This charitable organisation is run to raise funds for the benefit of all children within the school. Last year the Friends of Edith Borthwick raised funds in the region of £1500 by running various social events for parents, staff and students such as quiz nights, the summer fayre, school discos, a Christmas shopping evening and other events. The events take considerable work to organize, but they are enjoyable not only for those that attend but also for the committee members, other parents and staff who willingly give their time to help. Over recent years funds raised have been used to subsidise school trips, purchase a new mini bus and support various curriculum activities.

The Friends meet on a regular basis during term time at the school and everyone is welcome to attend, whether they be staff, friends or family members. The more help the committee has, the more they can do to raise valuable funds for the students. Even if you are unable to attend the meetings, help at events is always gratefully received. If you feel you would either like to join the committee, find out more about what they do or even make suggestions for fund raising ideas please contact

The Friends committee would like to thank all who have helped in the past for their support as major events such as the Summer Fayre would not be possible without the extra assistance.
