An exciting opportunity to join a well-established, knowledgeable, multidisciplinary therapy team working within a special school.
The Edith Borthwick School is a large special school which caters for learners aged 3-19 with severe and complex learning difficulties including ASD. We aim to deliver functional and integrated therapy across the school working closely with teaching and support staff.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. The role would be suited to a newly qualified therapist who is eager to learn, as well as therapists with more experience of working with young people with SEND. Experience of working in a special school setting is preferable but not essential. Applicants must have a relevant degree in Speech and Language Therapy and be HCPC and RCSLT registered.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, support staff and learners themselves to develop their communication and help them to reach their full potential. You will join our friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary therapy team which includes a Senior SLT, specialist SLTs and specialist Occupational Therapist. You will receive CPD opportunities, clinical and peer supervision.

Relief Teaching Assistants
Band 2 £9.8845 per hour

We are looking to appoint reliable, flexible and hardworking relief teaching assistants required as soon as possible to join our team. You'll have the desire or experience to want to work with students with special educational needs. You'll be flexible to be able to work as and when required.

Midday Assistants
Band 1 £8.50 per hour
Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Part-time Contract Term: Permanent Application Close: Date of Interviews: to be advised
We are looking to recruit Midday Assistants as soon as possible to supervise children during the lunch time period (11.50 a.m. - 1.20 p.m.)
7.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday. £8.50 per hour. Term time only.
Our ideal candidate will work well as part of a team, be patient, tolerant, understanding and most importantly enjoy working with children. This is a school for children with special needs and some children display challenging behaviour.
This could also, for the right person, lead to joining our team of relief teacher assistants. This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience to eventually become a Teaching Assistant.
