Key Stage 2 comprises of classes 5, 6, 7 and 8. The students take part in a variety of extra curricular activities including dance, rugby and football. We are fortunate to have a coach from Colchester United that leads our football sessions. Forest Schools provides an opportunity for all the students in Key Stage 2 to explore their natural environment.
Alongside our daily activities we enjoy events such as Pantomimes, dance workshops, music workshops e.g. stainless steel band and external trips to places such as the Presidents Sporting Christmas Lunch (where they meet celebrities!) and Duxford. These activities facilitate the students need to a hands on approach where they can take part and enjoy real life experiences.
Staff working within Key Stage 2 have an excellent knowledge of students within their care, supported by the use of Communication Passports. These contain information about students gathered by parents/carers and staff who have worked with them. We greatly value the support provided by the parents and carers as we endeavour to provide good communication links between home and school.
